Code of Conduct Policy

Players will dress appropriately at practices, games, and tournaments to represent CPFH, including arriving to tournaments in the CPFH warm up.  If you can't wear it in front of your grandmother, you can't wear it to field hockey!

Players should only be accompanied to practices, games, and tournaments by parents/guardians or other authorized adults. Players must be supervised by parents or other authorized adults when the player is not actively participating in a practice session or tournament game.  Supervision off the court is NOT the responsibility of coaches.  Significant others of players are not allowed at practices and may only attend games and tournaments if the player's parents/guardians are also in attendance.

The use or possession of alcohol, cigarettes, and/or illegal substances is strictly prohibited. A player found in possession of or under the influence of alcohol, cigarettes, and/or illegal substances may be immediately released from the Club.

Players and their support networks (i.e. parents, family, friends, etc) will conduct themselves in a positive and respectful manner toward fellow players and parents, coaches, opponents, officials, and directors.

Parents cannot coach from the sidelines during practices and games.

Rude or obscene language will not be tolerated. Failure to be positive and respectful will result in an escalating set of repercussions:

  1. Coach or Director will speak with the offender about his or her actions;
  2. Coach or Director will request that the offender leave the building for the remainder of practice or tournament; and
  3. Coach or Director will request that offender refrain from attending future practices or tournaments.

Note: Egregious actions by a player or parent may result in the player being immediately dismissed from the Club.  Players who have been dismissed from the Club will not receive a refund of Club fees or tournament fees.

Social media will not be used to make unpleasant or negative comments about other players or parents, coaches, opponents, officials, and Directors, and any violation of this policy may led to suspension or termination of a player from the Club.
